Slow Cooker Italian Stuffed Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients:
4 large tomatoes
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground turkey
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp thyme
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1 sweet onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup almond flour
fresh basil for topping
Instructions:
Slice the top off of the tomatoes and scoop the insides out. Sprinkle the insides of the tomatoes with salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey and spices until it is well blended. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic and turkey and brown the meat. Add the meat mixture and almond flour to a bowl and mix until well combined. Spoon the mixture into the tomatoes and place the top on. Brush your crock-pot with olive oil and add the stuffed tomatoes. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on low. Top with fresh basil and parsley. Serve and enjoy!
