Seasonings for things such as tacos and onion soup can be much healthier when you make your own at home rather than buying them at the grocery store. The pre-packaged seasonings at the grocery store contain a ton of stuff that is not good for you. Below you will find 5 make-at-home seasonings that you can make and store in a mason jar for later use! homemade-salt-free-substitute-mrs-dash Taco:
  • ½ cup chili powder
  • ¼ cup onion powder
  • ⅛ cup ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • ¼ tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
** Mix all ingredients in jar, shake & store.   Onion Soup:
  • ⅔ cup dried, minced onion
  • 3 tsp parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
**Mix all ingredients in a jar. Use 4 tbsp in a recipe to replace 1 packet of store bought soup mix. Shake before use.   Chili:
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
**Make sure to multiply based on how much you need!   Cajun:
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1¼ tsp dried oregano
  • 2½ tsp paprika
  • 1½ tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
** Mix all ingredients in jar, shake & store.   Ranch:
  • ¼ cup dried parsley
  • 1 Tbsp dried dill
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
**Mix all ingredients in a jar and store. For dip: Mix 2 tbsp dry mix w/ 2 cups Daiya plain yogurt.
