Balsamic vinegar is a cleansing MUST HAVE. The other night I made myself a steak and vegetable stir-fry, and my cleanse calls for no added fats, aka no olive oil. Usually, I am pretty sad when I can’t enjoy my food with olive oil, but instead I used balsamic vinegar for flavor (amongst many other spices, of course). It kept the steak super juicy, and the flavor wasn’t too vinegary either, it was the perfect touch! So, next time you’re grilling and/or cleansing, making these delicious steak skewers and you 100% will not feel like you are cleansing or “dieting.”

    Ingredients:
  • 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb steak, lean
  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes

Instructions:
  • In a large bowl whisk together the balsamic vinaigrette and dijon mustard. Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade for when grilling. Marinate steak in marinade, tossing to coat. On four metal skewers thread beef and tomatoes, alternating between the two. Place skewers on grill over medium heat, cover grill and grill until beef reaches desired doneness. Or broil about 4 inches from heat for 6-9 minutes. Turn occasionally and baste with reserved marinade during the last few minutes of grilling.
