MOOD FOOD
Good Vibes Only
Boost your mood and beat the blues without the habit-forming effects of reuptake inhibitors. Mood food specifically targets serotonin(happy) and gaba(calm) with a touch of dopamine(focus) enhancement.
We use the building blocks your body naturally uses to make it’s own neurotransmitters; amino acids and nutrients for synthesis.
Neurotransmitters are produced (naturally) in our bodies with amino acid building blocks. By taking high doses of a specific amino acids, you provide your body with the raw materials to synthesize specific neurotransmitters. This blend of amino acid precursors are known to support healthy levels of GABA, serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. Maintaining adequate neurotransmitter production is vital for regulating mood, appetite, memory, focus, energy levels and a healthy sleep cycle.
Because this product focuses on "happy" neurotransmitters, we like to think of MOOD FOOD as a natural anti-depressant
WHAT DOES WHAT
The stress-buffering mechanisms of L-theanine have been connected to its ability to increase serotonin and dopamine production in the brain
5-HTP is an amino acid intermediate that is directly converted into the mood-regulating neurotransmitter, serotonin
Mucuna pruriens, contains L-dopa. L-dopa is the direct precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine, which helps maintain a positive mental outlook, and motivation
L-tyrosine is the amino acid precursor to dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. These neurotransmitters help regulate mood, memory and concentration
Additional cofactors are required in synthesis pathways for the neurotransmitters serotonin, GABA, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. These are B vitamins (Folate, B12, B6, Vitamin C). The minerals (Zn+Mg) are meant to reduce gluatamate which provides neuroprotection from the overstimulating effects of glutamate (e.g. MSG)
Take 4 capsules (without food) early afternoon to fight negativity, sadness and lack of motivation. Take up to 8 capsules per day. Take daily or as needed (PMS).
This product is not ideal to combine with a prescription SSRI.
