PUMPKIN-TURKEY CHILI

Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 lb ground turkey/chicken (99%)
- 1 tbs fresh sage, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 24oz can of pumpkin puree (baking section of store)
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 14.5 oz can/jar of diced tomatoes
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric
Directions:
- PLACE a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Swirl to coat the pan.
- ADD turkey and brown until cooked through, mixing every few minutes
- ADD onion and sage and saute with turkey until onions are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Move the turkey and onion mixture to the crockpot.
- ADD diced tomatoes, garlic, bell pepper, pumpkin and spices to the crockpot. Stir to combine.
- COOK on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours
